SEASIDE
The City of Seaside is a blend of residential and business with an eye to significant redevelopment particularly in that area bordering the former Fort Ord. This side of the City has benefitted from federal reuse funds and a vision that includes plans for new resorts, conference facilities, golf course expansion, and new residential and commercial development. Seaside has plans for a mixed use, transit oriented, urban type village to transform its downtown and create a City Center that is more diverse and has a stable core group of businesses. Presently Seaside's commercial focus revolves around the Auto Center, its dealerships, and those businesses that service the industry.
